Hog Roast Skipton were delighted to be invited to cater at a wedding for 130 guests at the wonderful Kilnsey Park in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Weddings are a speciality of ours alongside corporate and private events but we know that they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and ultimately, every wedding is different but very special and we always ensure that we add an extra buzz to this special day for the bride and groom and all the guests.
Hog Roast Skipton has six menus available for wedding events ranging from an entry level option through to more formal options with evening buffet options too and we know that the choice of menu for this type of event is crucial to its success. For this occasion, the client wanted our Southern Slow Roast option with potato wedges and a range of salads for a late afternoon serving. For less formal events, disposable knives, forks and plates can be used, but for this occasion, the client wanted us to use china plates and real crockery.
Preparation is the key to success for any event but especially for a wedding as there is so much going on and everyone wants to enjoy the day rather than worrying about things going wrong, hence we always ensure that meticulous planning and preparation occurs to ensure that all expectations are met and we were very clear on what time we needed to arrive and to set up to be able to cater for the guests at 4.30pm.
Once we arrived, we set up in the park and started the hog roasting; some guests were mingling in the vicinity and they immediately became interested in what we were doing and very excited what was in store. We know that there are many good wedding caterers but what makes us great is the high quality of the food and the professional service that we consistently deliver and once we started serving, many guests were amazed at the selection and the quality of the delicious food with some great feedback – Hog Roast Skipton were very proud to be part of this fabulous day.
