The service you provided for my 80th birthday celebration was beyond expectations. Considering the cold wet weather the two young ladies who were serving did well to remain cheerful and helpful in spite of the weather. The pig roast was delicious together with the assorted accompaniments and made a fulfilling meal. Jon who was in charge set out an covering gazebo together with lights making an attractive display. My guests were mightily impressed. The cost was well worth paying for this most successful event. I should add we only had about 35 guests but this was enough to consume most of a smaller pig. All the remaining slices were boxed and all were taken by some of the party. With thanks John

Hi, Day went really well, not even constant rain put a damper on the day. Spitting Pig arrived in plenty of time, well organised, they set everything up in record time and served food at the exact time we planned.  Feedback from employees is that food was delicious, plenty of option, portion sizes were good and staff were really polite and helpful.  They checked in with me throughout the day and when it came to packing away it was done with ease and no mess was left, cleaned up as if they had never been there. Hi Amey The event went well for us and Spitting Pig were fantastic. Everything went smoothly – the team were on site promptly and worked hard to get everything set up and looking great and everything was ready to serve 15 minutes early which suited us really well. The quality of the food was excellent – all the staff commented on how nice it was – and there was plenty of it with people to go back for seconds if they wished! By the time our event had finished the team had cleared up and left and we couldn’t have told they were even there. Hi Just a note to say thank you and how delighted my family and I were with the Hog Roast and BBQ for my 60th Birthday party. The food was absolutely delicious! The whole spectacle of the roasting hog and the sweet smells that surrounded us added to the atmosphere. Everyone had more than enough with some going back for seconds (and thirds?). John and his team were brilliant! They catered for all ages and nothing was too much trouble. After feeding all 50 of us, all the leftovers were boxed up neatly and they took away all the rubbish afterwards. I had no washing up! The Hog Roast certainly made a day to remember. I would highly recommend this to anyone having a wedding or party. This was the second time we had booked the Spitting Pig Yorkshire and  I will definitely be booking John and the Hog roast again. We cannot recommend Spitting Pig enough after catering for our son & daughter-in-law's wedding last Saturday! Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful team and they certainly went above and beyond. We had a Lamb Roast, that was absolutely delicious, along with the accompanying tasty roast potatoes and veg. A professional team that allows you to sit back and leave it to them, they're certainly experts in their field, and such lovely people too!

I am so grateful for the organisation of the Spitting Pig caterers on my dad’s 60^th birthday (which was a total washout!) Although the weather wasn’t on our side, the team certainly was – they had brought plenty of gazebos so the food remained perfect. Hi Penny, Thanks for your message. Our wedding party ( One year one due to Covid) was a great success. The Spitting pig were great, they  arrived on time and set up very professionally. The food was ready on time and was delicious, everyone said how tasty the Beef, Pork  and chicken were and the Halloumi skewers were very popular. The salads were also freshly prepared and very tasty as were the potato and sweet potato fries.  The staff collected all the plates etc in at the end  and cleared up quietly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to use you again for an important function. Thanks once again for a wonderful service.

Exceptional - Hired these folks for our wedding - both day and evening food. Service before & during was faultless and the food was sumptuous, with all the guests commenting on how good it was. Hello From start to finish Jon & his daughter were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. He turned up on time & was professional & friendly with all our guests all evening. The food went down a storm & we will definitely be using him again at another one of our get togethers.

Good morning More than happy to feedback! The whole process was very smooth and efficient. From asking for the initial quote to receiving the booking confirmation was less than 24 hours. We secured the booking and the menu choice was brilliant, we added vegetarian and vegan options (the Halloumi skewers were lovely), three different salads, a potato accompaniment and the obviously homemade sauces were full of flavour. The apple sauce was really tasty and I’m told the chilli sauce was HOT. The team who came on the day were on time, well presented and very friendly, the set up was quick and painless and the smell coming from that area was divine, the layout was appealing and you could see how fresh everything was. Serving the crowds was such a smooth process, they made light work of our 50+ guests and the silence whilst they all ate was definitely down to them focusing on the food (which was plentiful). The girls kept on top of clearing down the used plates whilst the gents kept the food topped up. It was a seamless process and the staff should be proud of how amazing the experience was for us that day. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful event!

Very knowledge and friendly staff. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make the reversal dinner for my Son's wedding one to remember. It was indeed! Thank you for everything! John was absolutely fantastic whilst on the phone in the run up to the party and from the moment he arrived, bang on time!  The pig was delicious and smelt fantastic. The layout of the food and the plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc. were great, John and his assistant looked really smart, the salads and coleslaw were delicious, there was plenty of food (but also pretty much the right amount based on the number of people at the party).  The fact that there was vegetarian and vegan choices went down well, and we even had someone who was gluten intolerant who was impressed that John had brought gluten free bread!  Thank you John you were brilliant!. Firstly I would like to thank Jon and his daughter for the day.  They were both very professional and extremely nice.  Nothing was too much.  Every person who attended commented on them. The food was superb, perfectly cooked and very tasty.  As people were arriving the smells coming from the roast were mouth-watering.  There was more than enough to go around with plenty left over. The setup was not too over powering and meant people were not waiting long for the food. Not only did Jon so a fantastic job in catering for myself and the other veggies and vegans in the wedding, he also set it up without any trouble and it tasted beautiful. We just wanted to say how fantastic Mark and his colleague (so sorry I can’t recall his name!) were at our event on Friday. They arrived in plenty of time to set up and the timings were absolutely perfect. Everything ran so smoothly and the reviews on the food were outstanding! There was so much too – more than enough for the numbers we had catered for. They were so professional and bent over backwards to accommodate how we wanted things to be set up! Just writing to thank you for the fantastic bbq that Spitting Pig provided for our wedding on Saturday. The quality of the food was first rate, and our guests all commented on how lovely it was. The pulled pork in particular was a huge hit! A special mention must go to your staff, Andy and Jon. They set up in the best possible location, were unobtrusive in their work, presented the food impeccably and tidied up. They are a credit to your company. I have already begun recommending Spitting Pig to other people and will continue to do so. We will be in touch with any future bookings.

Could you pass on my thanks to John and Andy for their work on Saturday night. The chaps arrived bang on time, set up hassle free and got the show on the road at the exact time we had agreed. The food was spot on, and added a pork flavoured glaze onto a brilliant and successful evening. The chaps clean down was impeccable too, not a crumb to be seen. I know they went down well and have received enquiries about them already.

What a wedding we had – and a lot of the credit has to go to you at Spitting Pig Yorkshire. From the moment we made contact with your company to discuss the prospect of using your services, it was a pleasure. Right through to the close of service and the point where you expertly and discretely cleared all the rubbish away, your company was an example of perfection. Not minding when I called up four or five times in an hour to discuss and change certain details before the big day, serving food that blew our minds as well as having staff which the finest restaurants would be proud of; it was all brilliant! Everyone mentioned how classy the catering was – and all for such a reasonable price. Restaurants watch out – your food is glorious.

What can I say? Lets start with WOW! Our corporate day turned out to be one of the most productive we’ve ever had. The day was meant to revolve around an action-packed morning and afternoon of driving high performance supercars at Croft Circuit – however it wasn’t a Ferrari that stole the show. Nor was it a Lamborghini nor Aston Martin. Nope, at the end of the day the only thing that anyone was talking about was the exceptional spit roasted food which we had for lunch! Truly epic – the meat was easily the best I’ve tasted. Our European business partners were really impressed – and I personally loved it when you mentioned that the meat was all sourced in Yorkshire!
