Last weekend was a whirlwind of love, laughter, and incredible flavours as Hog Roast Bingley had the privilege of catering for Michelle and Gary’s dream wedding!
The day began with 200 eager family and friends witnessing the couple exchange vows at a breathtaking cathedral, setting the perfect romantic tone for the festivities that followed at a stunning country house.
The grandeur of the manor house, steeped in antique charm, added a regal air to the celebrations. And to match the venue’s elegance, Hog Roast Bingley rolled out our most luxurious wedding catering menu!
We started off by serving refreshments and delightful nibbles to the guests upon their arrival. These canapé platters were a hit, featuring pan-seared fillet of beef, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, chicken liver parfait, smoked Scottish salmon, and a variety of mini quiches with delectable fillings. These irresistible bites made everyone excited for the spread to come!
The main feast kicked off with homemade soup accompanied by crusty bread rolls and butter, followed by a lavish buffet spread. Guests were treated to a scrumptious hog roast, whole-roasted sirloin of English beef, and BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls. Our selection of freshly made salads, coleslaw, and creamy dauphinoise potatoes added a burst of flavour, allowing guests to create their perfect plate.
Judging by the guests’ delighted faces, they thoroughly enjoyed every bite and happily went back for refills. But they did abide by the golden rule: always leave room for a pudding! Our sticky toffee pudding and decadent chocolate torte were the ultimate sweet finale, leaving everyone swooning with satisfaction.
As the evening progressed, Hog Roast Bingley seamlessly transitioned into the late-night festivities. Under the expert guidance of our catering manager, Jon, we prepared an evening buffet that was a smash hit. Guests indulged in 100% British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs with peppers and onions, and sticky BBQ spare ribs – the perfect fuel for a night of dancing and celebration.
It was truly a joy to be part of Michelle and Gary’s special day, ensuring every culinary detail was as unforgettable as the love they shared.
