The library received some funding that has allowed it to get some much-needed renovations, including a new accessible toilet, a brand-new computer suite, and a quiet reading room. Now that it is ready to reopen, the library is expected to become a central part of the town, with so much potential for the future. To ensure that the library gets off to a good start, a reopening event is being hosted, which will include reading challenges, freebies, great food, and incentives to sign up for a library card. On the day of the event, Jon and the Hog Roast Cleckheaton team will arrive at the library in the morning and set up our catering station outside. We will start by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection before being expertly carved by our chef. The sliced pork will be served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served homemade chips, halloumi and vegetable skewers, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of tasty salad dishes. Our menu is sure to be a great addition to the day since no one can resist the smell of our delicious hog roast!
