This loved-up couple first said “I do” during the challenging days of the COVID pandemic, a time when large gatherings were off the table. True to their word, they promised themselves (and their loved ones) a grand do-over—and what a do-over it was!

Set against the stunning backdrop of an 1800s mansion in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, James and Lisa created an event that exuded elegance and charm. Sage and cream accents adorned the venue, lush floral arrangements added vibrancy, and a live DJ kept the energy high with the couple’s favorite tunes. The result was a day so picture-perfect, it felt like stepping into a dream.

Naturally, no celebration of this magnitude would be complete without exceptional food, and that’s where Hog Roast Brighouse stepped in. James and Lisa selected our Formal Wedding Catering Menu, a sumptuous spread tailored to delight even the most refined palates.

The culinary journey began with an exquisite selection of canapés: pan-seared fillet of beef, smoked Scottish salmon, mini quiches, chicken satay skewers, and our beloved mini fish and chips. As guests mingled and savored these bites, their anticipation for the meal ahead grew. Once the heartfelt toasts concluded, we served heritage tomato and beetroot carpaccio starters—a refreshing dish that drew plenty of compliments.

At its heart was our signature hog roast, accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, crispy pork scratchings, applesauce, and gluten-free rolls. To ensure every guest was catered for, we also served whole-roasted free-range chickens with chipolata sausages and brown bread, vegan BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns, and a variety of delectable sides, including creamy dauphinoise potatoes, gourmet coleslaw, and vibrant salads.

While guests thoroughly enjoyed the savoury offerings, they wisely saved room for dessert. When we unveiled sticky toffee puddings and decadent profiteroles drenched in rich chocolate sauce, the indulgence reached new heights.
