Amy and Todd got married earlier in October, with a beautiful ceremony followed by a reception at Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa. The evening reception was sure to be a success with the 100 guests, including close friends and family of the couple. For the reception catering, our manager Jon was hired to serve a classic hog roast, starting at 8:00pm. The menu was ideal for the occasion as it is simplistic yet incredibly delicious and is filled with a variety of great options for the guests to enjoy.
On the day of the reception, Jon and the Hog Roast Otley team arrived at the hotel with plenty of time to prepare for the 8:00pm mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before it was expertly carved by our chef. The sliced meat was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we served BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a great alternative to pork. As well as the mains, we also served a selection of salad dishes and homemade chips, to create a varied and delicious evening meal. The menu was served buffet style on disposable crockery, allowing guests to causally enjoy a delicious evening meal. There was more than enough for the 100 guests to enjoy and something for everyone to eat. The Hog Roast Otley team had a lot of fun catering at this wedding, and it was definitely an evening to remember for everyone involved!
