This past Saturday, Hog Roast Holmfirth had the absolute pleasure of catering a special country-themed birthday party for Luke’s big 3-0. As a Yellowstone superfan with a passion for all things cowboy, Luke went all out for his milestone celebration – and we were thrilled to be part of the action!
Luke didn’t do things by halves. He secured a beautifully converted barn big enough to fit himself and 100 of his closest friends and family. With the help of his girlfriend, Rhiannon, the space was transformed into a Dutton Ranch dream! Horseshoes hung on the walls, banners and fairy lights draped from the rafters, and rustic wooden chairs and tables completed the authentic cowboy aesthetic. The finishing touch? A live country band playing boot-stomping tunes that had guests two-stepping the night away.
But what’s a country shindig without some good old-fashioned cowboy fun? Luke had that covered too! Guests put their skills to the test with horseshoe-throwing contests and lassoing games – some proving they could give the real cowboys a run for their money!
Now, let’s talk about the main event – THE FOOD! Hog Roast Holmfirth made a statement with our legendary whole roasted hog, served up with crispy crackling, herby stuffing, and a generous dollop of applesauce. But we didn’t stop there! We dished out handmade British beef burgers, gourmet sausages, and mouth-watering vegan BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls, ensuring that every guest had something delicious to sink their teeth into.
To round out the feast, we served a selection of hearty sides, including heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, seasonal leafy greens, creamy coleslaw, classic Caesar salad, and garlic and rosemary roasted potatoes. Our Hog Roast Holmfirth team made sure everything was plated on eco-friendly bamboo plates with matching wooden cutlery, adding a touch of rustic charm to the meal.
The night ended on the perfect note with a surprise from Rhiannon – a Yellowstone-inspired birthday cake! Luke’s face lit up as he blew out the candles, and of course, Hog Roast Holmfirth was there to slice and serve the delicious dessert with fresh cream and ripe berries.
