August has come to an end and what a great year we have had, a productive year with lots of orders and some fantastic people that have come back to us time and time again. The year started a bit slow but since then we have been full on and especially summer it has been crazy! At the start of the week we had a booking for a corporate hog roast event in Eldwick and a rather small gathering to what we normally have at these events but just as important had it have been for five thousand. Hog roast Eldwick had booked in roast beef, lamb and turkey, turkey is becoming ever so popular I think it is more due to the fact that all are amazed when they see how moist the meat cooks and all are shocked as they really can’t believe how tasty it is. To accompany the meat we made some vegetable kebabs honey glazed with wonderful oils drizzled to absorbing and sweetening the vegetables so nice and they are so popular at an event people just can’t get enough of them! We had lots do and so little time as is always the case at any function but we always get there and shine with flying colours! We stood there ever so proud as the guests tasted the food and we were given looks of such great admiration we always love it when the customers are impressed and it happens at every event and we just love it and who can blame them to be honest the meat cooks to perfection and tastes of perfection too! Hog roasting dates back to cave man times and even though times have changed and changed a lot over the century’s hog roasting really hasn’t as in principle it is just the same as our for fathers cooked it all these thousands of years ago the only difference is the machines now are more sophisticated and a lot easier to use and it is quite nostalgic and moving to think that our ant sisters would have been avid hog roasters as we are today…
